The Doug Hoffman campaign has assumed the victim position after rival Matt Doheny went negative with TV spots seen first by me Saturday on TV 3.
That's to be expected because doing so generates some press for Hoffman and he cannot afford much in the way of paid advertising.
The local MSM won't make much of the flap as don't like to give away publicity for free.
The charge made in the spot is that Hoffman has used his campaign for personal enrichment.

Just listen to the guy in the back round when Jude asked the hard one about earmarks,oh no you can't answer that,crawl over here in this hole and hide.Ryan you slung so much mud in the special,hows it feel when you are up against that garbage?All Hoffman is about is complaining never does he ever talk about good things that are going on in the world misery thats all I see when that guy is in the news......
I love how Jude Seymour's actual reporting shows that, in fact, the Doheny ad is 100% factual.
That's why he's my favorite reporter - he checks his facts.
Even Mr Hoffman didnt deny anything but the facts were stated to be legal.. I wish that possibly we could get photos from the Coast gaurd the nights I said nights that Doheny was arrested. Im sure he looked good for his picture.. IN fact i,m sure that picture is a matter of public record for someone to see. He was arrested wasnt he. He got obnoxious to an authority doing their job and they felt he was going to attempt to assualt them or worse. I wonder what he looks like drunk. Sober he looks like a puffy little nobody. Mr Doheny did Mr. Hoffman do something illegal? No.. Thank you
Ask him directly what hes taking to work so many hours. A lot of other people use it but its something most cant afford.

Credibility your honor credibility. This wasnt going to come out and he hid the fact for years. He got anxious before the election .. You know like ARod Petit we are caught so admit. Then your a hero..
I would honestly say this is the worst most hateful commercial I have ever seen in my life. What for? Everythign Doheny stated is true and legal and approved. Hoffman is shrewd and if he can come up with inovative ways to save our money I,ll vote for him. Right now I,m voting against Doheny because he stands for everything I hate in life. Money Power Greed, lawbreaker, drinker, meab drunk and a person who thinks he can buy the North Country.. I dont want to do this so I want a reason to vote for Hoffman.
Now that Hoffman has gone negative what does that say about Doug's integrity and honor? Is he now the underdog, or just another loser empty suit politician?
How quick you Hoffman loyals forget that just a month ago, Hoffman was demanding for Matt's camp to release the records of the BUI. Isn't that a form of negative campaign attacks? Double standards yet again. Jude is right, everythign Doheny presented is 100% true and factual. Nothing made up, forged, or blown out of context. Hoffman is just looking out for himself and trying to make a cheap buck. Yes, that deffinatly the kind of guy I want representing me in Washington, a sleezy guy who will do anything to make a buck. Amazing how you are quick to attack Matt for being rich. At least Matt raises his living in an honest way. Not charging his own campaign intrest. Shameful...
