Carl Paladino is filing for an independent line on the ballot...called the Taxpayers Party....If successful this will allow Paladino to run to November no matter what happens in the September 14 GOP Primary.
Further, Paladino could end up starting a new party in NY if he gets 50,000 votes on the line.
If he loses the GOP primary, he has the option of ditching the extra line, but while party poobahs want that, many who signed the petition would want him to run on and form the new line on the ballot.
There is also a Conservative Party primary for Governor, so the lay of the land for the fall remains up in the air.

Precisely the opposite way a strong viable third party should be organized: "Ownership by a millionaire or billionaire."
Good for him, but bad for the system. Why? It is the money at work and not much else (Perot, Bloomberg, Golisano, and now Paladino: buying their own party).

Patty Ritchie is also trying to get on Paladino's line - her people are passing petitions for her own spot on the Taxpayer Party Line. So Mayor... are you ready to ditch the Indy's and get on Patty and Carl's bandwagon?

The talk in Canton today is Forsythes possible uncertainty about running in the 118.. GOP party head has been in contact with him today.. So is the rumor. I hope he does quit like Vaugh but I dispell this one as rumor
Patty's staff are in Public Square passing her petitions. I would have signed but I signed for her on the GOP line already.

Any party that stands for lower taxes is something we can all relate with. The Taxpayer Party represents those who disapprove of NYS being the highest taxed state in the country.
Mr. Aubertine has been endorsed by each and every special interest organization which makes him part of the status quo. Status quo = higher taxes and more perks for the special interest groups.
2:48, Forysthe dropping out?? Wow, you are insane. Have you not seen his signs, ummm, EVERYWHERE? He has been campaigning like mad and has been getting a great start versus Addie it appears. Dave seems to have the whole district covered with signs. Addie? Ummm, none. If anyone should be watched for drop out possibility, I would say it appears to be ADDIE, not Dave.
