Watching Doheny being interviewed by Liz....Matt says he lives in Watertown (that's a plus)....says he loves guns and uses them when on the campaign trail(Liz chuckles) ...He's against gay marriage....says DeDe did the unthinkable in endorsing Owens....
Says DeDe is a quitter....And says he will endorse Hoffman if he wins the primary....Little nervous looking sitting with Liz, but that's understandable...She's tough.
Oh, the BWI issue has come up....Matt says he deeply respects law enforcement.
Doheny says he has the depth of understanding of issues and has fought for what he has in life.
Liz says Bill Owens will be on next Wednesday.

I missed the gay marriage-thing and any reference to Hoffman's son, but I will blame that on me not paying attention.
I tried to be open-minded, but he spoke a mile-a-minute like a speed-fiend. Not implying anything. But, I did chuckle when Liz mentioned caffeine.
He also looked a little bloated with double-chin and bags under eyes. I'm afraid Owens will come across as most the congressional.
Liz has a great program. We are fortunate to have her program (and this website). How politics have changed!
When Owens speaks, just remember, every words he says is pre-approved by Nancy Pelosi. If you can still vote for him, then so be it. Every year the payment on our debt rises by 3% of the budget. Now think of that, folks. Every year we pay another 3% of the budget just in INTEREST. And Owens/Pelosi knows nothing but spend spend spend. I know most of us love that. But there has to be an end to it. Our standard of living will be unrecognizable in a decade if we continue this. Not for people like Owens/Pelosi, but for us. I really don't give a damn who "comes across as most the congressional". This is about reality. We have to make some choices and we have to stop spending money we don't have. Owens/Pelosi will do nothing of the sort. The health care fiasco proves that. Wait till that thing hits us. Our only hope is we get it repealed before it takes effect. When we elected Owens some of us believed he had a mind of his own. Only a fool belives that now.
It's gonna be a nice effort by Doheny but Owens wins this race.
For the anti-Pelosi/Owens is her puppet, may I suggest you move to SF and then you can vote against all proper-like.
Of course, we have never seen a GOPer in Congress who was a shrill for Newt Gingrich, Tom DeLay, Bob Livingston, right?
Owens is supposedly our representative. We didn't have a say with these other guys you mention, Dannie. But Owens is supposed to represent us. The Pelosi/Owens types have given us nothing but huge debt increasess, a health plan that nobody wants now that they are learning the detailsl and the highest unemployment in a generation. We cannot afford to put Owens/Pelosi back in there for another term.
For those who missed it

Hey, pot to kettle...if Doheney loses the Republican line he still has the Independence line unless he "quits" running as that party's candidate. Given his hatred for quitters, one should be concerned for the self-loathing that he will wrestle with. Clear the waters!!!!!
2:58 Great observation..to carry it further it gives Hoffman the rationale to keep running on the Conservative line.
Remember he hates quitters.. He asked the Independance line and got it.. Will he quit if he loses the GOP.. I also think I read recently where he hired a person that quit an assembly race. Apparently he hate quiters when its conveninent for him.
Mayor.. You dont have to imply anything.. His folks tried to keep him off the air with her for obvious reasons..
Heh 131.. The national health care plan was aimed to assist people. I take it you dont care about people.. Y9ur highest unemployment suggestion well, just remember who the GOP president was that got the recession and unemployment started. Hopefully this one can start it... Remember who was in the White House when we were attacked by terorists in NYC.. Yeh. GoP.. Had warnings but ignored them... Remember who started the war in Iraq.. Yeh Bush even after his advisors told him Iraq posed to threat with WMD.. Yeh Bush... Who was president when Billions of dollars came up missing in Iraq.. Yes Bush... Did anyone do anything about it...Remember who was in the White House and let his Vice President run the country for eight years... Guess who..
With respect to the debt, Owens DID vote against raising the debt limit. Sometimes people don't let facts get in the way of their opinion.
He made Hoffman look like a great orator. His back slapping condescension comes across great on tv. Stick to the commercials..
Vote to spend a gazillion dollars but vote against raising the debt limit. That makes sense.
Owens will lose to either candidate.
He came across as an empty suit.
A lot of fluff and stuff - not much substance ...
He memorized his remarks and it showed. He was not at ease at all. Not a real good presentation. Not a lot of skillful answers.
Sorry, but that's how I saw and heard it.
Perhaps he should have wowwed Liz with his recitation of the Towns of the 23rd.. I am sure she would have been impressed. This guy ALWAYS believes he is the smartest person in the room ...
11:59 BS. Owens, after voting to spend all that money, then voted against raising the debt limit. Does that make sense? Maybe to you but to no one else. He was given permission to vote that way by Pelosi as cover for the other sell outs of the American people.
11:55 How does bankrupting the nation "help people?" That's where we are headed. The health changes are a disaster. Unless you're like Dannie and you have everything all lined up anyway. Lots of people do.
And to add on top of 1:34's post at 11:55, heres a something you need to learn... the whole "blame Bush" line isn't working anymore. Things are getting worse, and we keep spending more money than we have. Go and try to run your own budget that way and tell me how it works out. The Dem's (led by Obama) ran a "blame Bush/change" slogan back in 2008, and people were foolish enough to believe it. Now, people are beginning to regret their votes. Democrats are in trouble, because for the past 6 years, they have been the ones in control of Congress and have passed the past 6 national budgets that have pushed our country into massive debt. So, before you get into your simply politically bias attacks, look at the facts, and think for yourself instead of using the old Democrat campaign slogans.
