The arguing, the postering, the back and forth to Albany, the intrigue and obfuscation are over as the State Senate has passed the final revenue bill and the state budget on a party line 32-28 vote. No debate, and no real changes, I gather , except for a deletion of a tax on hedge fund people...That only came after the embarassing spectacle of the Governor of CT wining and dining the finance industry and trying to get them to flee to the Nutmeg State.
Next year another crisis looms, so look for it all again.
Lawmakers can get back to their districts, for vacation or campaigning, or both.
Makes you wonder what was accomplished by all the discord.....

This year's budget is just like last year's, dishonest. The taxes will not bring in the revenues Shelly claims will come in, so the deficit will be greater than admitted. We have another Shelly lie.
But I'll bet you don't care. Which is fine. Just don't bitch about anything. Shut up.
ALL the whining can start now about the new budget. I just looked up a few facts about late budgets and it would appear that the latest was during GOP years (Pataki) the most GOP years Pataki Wow I wouldnt never have believed it since the GOP was in command of the Gov. Office and Senate in those days.. Tells me something..

But the NYC DEmocrats were in charge of the Assembly. THe reason it was late was because Silver insisted on an unaffordable amount of state spending.
