Wow...After prosecution claims of a slam dunk and charges that would make Lincoln turn over in his grave, Blago was convicted on only one count...Lying to the FBI....Isn't that what people do ?
The maximum term is five years so I am sure they will go for that to redeem themselves.....
Blago is a blowhard...he is crude...he is a typical Chicago pol...just like Rahm...Barack....Axelrod...and many others in the Windy City....
His deal making over the Senate appointment is what politics is...horse trading...
I am not offended by what he did and I guess the jurors were not either.

So he tried to sell that Senators seat? Who can blame him? I'm with you, Jeff. Who cares anymore. The important thing is we kept the Great One out of the mix so he didn't get dragged into it. All of this was just a made up thing by Elephants. They do it, we do it, why care about it? The party is the most important thing.
hehe. Let's just say the jury could smell what the prosecution was shoveling. The only ppl that gave a flying flip about Blago's dealings were GOooPers and Teabaggers hoping the prosecution would eventually drag Obama into the mix, forcing him to testify, resign or both. For the sane crowd we just knew it was "politics as usual." Next, the book followed by the movie, then game show host. The new Let's Make a Deal!

I am really quite offended that you would put the President in the same catagory as crude and a blowhard. I can understand that you might disagree with his politics, but certainly he is not in the same class as Blago.
I will remind you that upon assuming office he was left with a mess that was created over the prior eight years. In fact, with all the belly aching over bailouts, I will also remind you that the first bailout of $900 billion, ie the TARP, was enacted nearly three months prior to January 20, 2009.
This time you are way out of line.
It is now coming out that it was one juror that voted not guilty. It was her lone vote that blocked convictions on a dozen charges. That's the system, but it puts things in a different perspective.

I'm gleeful becuz someone in the jury pool saw this charade for what it was. Was Blago guilty of all charges?? Surely! But, so what? It's how the game of politics is played. Surely there are bigger things to be concerned about than whether or not Blago attempted to sell a senate seat. Like Terrists trying to build a mosque on Ground Zero.
You're lying, Evil. They "jury pool" didn't see anything that way. One woman did. Read up on it and stick to the truth.
