Tuesday Tid Bits

-According to Jude's blog the specific challenges to the nominating petitions of Addie Russell and Brian McGrath are in....I would say Addie's Indy ones are in trouble and McGrath's Democratic ones will be tight, although sometimes you can get a judge to order an OTB as a compromise. Who know's
- Scott Gray and Scott Burto are two Republicans pondering a change to IP and they have talked to Jude, thus giving their plans the patina of legitimacy.
I don't think its a GOP takeover gambit, because those two are at odds with their party anyway.
-I stopped by the Doheny bunker today and they have giant 4 by 8 lawn signs for the family for whom bigger is best.
These monster signs will be used on high traffic roads.
Primary battleground counties seem to be Madison with 10% of all the Republicans and Oswego with 20%. Jefferson is considered Doheny country and I assume the eastern counties are more fertile for Hoffman.....I really don't know but I am able to speak with authority on such subjects if asked.
-Legislature supposed to meet tomorrow, but don't look for anything to happen. Here's the deal....pass the cap (its good politics), let SUNY Buffalo do what it wants with tuition......say no to soda tax....and yes to WIGS with Paterson's medallion proposal....The budget is still in the red, so let Paterson fire some workers before Cuomo takes office....

From what I hear, the McGrath camp has no doubt of the safety of their Indy line and is VERY confident in their Dem line. Russel, however looks like she has a battle on the Indy line.

Over here in SLc you dont see too many signs except the locals.. City court judge a big contest in Oberg.. Couple of Doheny signs couple of signs for Hoffman a few Ritchie signs I havmt seen anything on Aubertine.. City Court battle will be interesting as only the residents of the city can vote but the lawyers running come from all over.... Bill Small the now part time judge seems to have a real good handle on things.. His next closest contender is Mary Rain who is to meet him in a primary.. Forsythe has lots of signs down on rte 37 but I think he is a non factor come election time..

There will be no passing of a property tax cap with Sheldon Silver running the Assembly. And if we return Russell, she has no influence whatsoever in that body. She will do whatever Thug tells her to do.

Who's Scott McGrath? Did Scott Burto and Brian Mcgrath hook up and create a super yellow bellied tratior?

Thanks for the update on signs in Slc. Think you need to look at all the signs. Signs is peoples yards and businesses adds a lot more weight then along every road and corner.Just my opinion.

Sheldon Silver ruined my day- snif, snif, wwhiine.
He took away my birthday,toooo.Blubber-blubber-sniffle.

did you say "McGrath camp"? if he actually had a "camp" he would have gotten more signatures than he did and he wouldn't have been running around the day before they were due looking for more signers.

I was just reading about Aubertines Indy endorsement what a joke they didnot even want to give it to him.Patty had it in the bag,but the Dems paid off the Indy people. If the people only new what really goes on,its a joke, they all lie big time.Patty got over 1100 Indy signatures Aubertine had 350.Nobody ever said how many signatures Aubertine got on the Dem line .Heard he had a hard time on all lines.

I have to agree, the Patty machine gathered over a 1000 sigs, which is very impressive. Mr. Aubertine had close to 350 and gains the endorsement with a wave of Mr. MacKay's hand. So much for the local committees.

Now Senator Aubertine is creating jobs in NNY with regulation reduction in Fly wheel and compressed air energy storage system. I can not wait to see these jobs, LOL. Anything for a little press coverage, and if you mention job creation that is always a plus.

WIth respect to Congressoinal primary who are my predictions:

Doheny carries the cities, college towns, and villages; Hoffman wins the rural areas.

Doheny wins high income voters; Hoffman wins low income voters.

Doheny does best in Jefferson county while Hoffman wins most of the other counties.

Hoffamn 52; Doheny 48

A new approach by Sheldon's boyfriend. And it is a welcome change. You were getting your butt kicked and it was time to tack over. Actuuualy Sir/Madam, as a guy who works indirectly for Silver, I hope he keeps it going for a few more years. This is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me, working for a government that knows no bounds. Sincere thanks to people like you. I salute you and your children, who make it all possible.

What Brain?

Dohenys latest TV add is a dream that came per internet withing the last month.. Its not his idea. He copies ideas from other because he knows this would never pass in any real world.. This is not what he stands for.. Look at him.. Read between the lines... Rich person trying to buy our votes.. He and his staff believe sincerely that we all are country bumkins and will vote with the money.. We will see/

What I want in SLC is consistantly. All road signs were ordered taken down a few years ago bby the Hwy super and Sheriff.. Most of them were Russ Finleys .. If its a sign on County property then as good citizens we should take them down, unless its someone we like... Front yards are off limits.. In the City the property in front of our houses is city owned but we maintain it so we have a right to remove these signs ourselves... In the case of four by eight signs I would say they are a road hazzard. We cant do this on normal circumstances so why should they be legal now..

From what I see here in SLC, Patty Ritchie and Dave Forsythe have gotten a good push of support. Patty has Ogdensburg and surrounding areas covered with here signs. Dave has a great presence in the 'Burg and along the highways and local towns. Darrel and Addie have nothing up here at all. Doheny has a ton of signs out over the past week. I have literally saw one Hoffman sign in SLC in a yard. Another on the corner of an intersection. Im sure there are more, but in my travels across SLC I have only come across those few. Looks like Patty and Dave have some good momentum though. Addie and Darrel must've been embarresed going through the Seaway Festival parade in Ogdensburg seeing all the Forysthe and Ritchie signs. Maybe thats a way of the people saying WE DON'T WANT YOU ANYMORE AND YOUR DOWNSTATE POLITICS.

Anon 1:00, They do have that downstate voting record to prove it. Thanks for representing NYC and forgetting about NNY!

McGrath couldn't keep his job in NYC, couldn't keep his abusive reign on his condo board, and who knows what his claim to fame was in the Boy Scouts. The people in his building in NYC have certainly shown their displeasure for him.

He has now blessed all of us with his presence and conveniently bought his dad's house so he can say he is a loyal North Country Boy who has come back to his roots! His camp was threatening our first amendment rights by threatening people on this board for posting, until someone advised him this was not smart, but it still shows what type of person he is!

What does this sound like to the rest of you?
