Sometimes Metaphors Just Jump Out at You
-The WDT's Jude Seymour captured one of those one picture worth a thousand words moments at the Lewis County Fair. The misspelled word on the balloon may have been an honest mistake, but after you blow up the first one don't you stop ?

Jeffrey, This is not a spelling error. It may very well be evidence of a learning disability, something the Lewis County Republicans deserve compensation for. There may signs of dyslexia, which could have an adverse effect on spelling and reading skills. I submit that you should be ashamed of yourself for making light of a serious, no-nonsense situation that limits the future of so many of our fellow citizens. Now, if you were willing to send a check to the Lewis County BOCIZ Special Eddie Committee, for say, $500, we could view this differently. Otherwise, you are an insensitive oooooooof who feels nothing for people and their challenges.

Dohney's "cut pay in half..." is a cheap stunt and a gimmick. It shows how shallow his thinking is.
Does he know that congressional pay hikes are AUTOMATIC unless they vote them down ... plus he'd need 434 others to buy into his campaign Ad promise... not likely.
But, hey, a $6-million dollar man - maybe he should forego all his congressional salary, save a dollar, then see how that flies??
Why, Dannie, do you consider it a stunt and a "gimmick" for Doheny to speak of this pay cut? They all could take it. I have no problem with him discussing it. I agree with you that none of them would vote for it but if talking about it keeps it in the public eye that's a good thing. Or does this have to do with that belief of yours that we shouldn't be upset about anything? If that's the case then I can certainly understand why congressional pay is something you don't want to talk about. Things are going so well for you, you just don't want to rock the boat. Tell you what, we will keep quiet about it from now on.
Didja hear about your boy John Kerry and his $7million dollar sailboat? He's keeping it in Rhode Island to avoid paying taxes on it in his home state of Massachusettes. My guess is you wouldn't call that a stunt, would you? That's just good bidness.
What word was misspelled? I have to agree with Dan as to the cut in pay ad. Why talk about it? Members of Congress are not allowed to earn outside income . I wish someone would talk about issues pertinent to where we live. Although there are roughly 900 members of the TEA Party in the 23rd CD, there are many more of us that are NOT. We want to hear about the economy, energy, and other issues germane to our area.
10:58 is right. I want to add that when Doheny is talking about his pay, he is not talking about other issues. Let's vote for him for the right reasons. Although some people will vote for him no matter what he says.
The love affair of the GOP only signals they are doing something right as "spellgate" is out in force showing how anyone will jump on them for the smallest of reasons.

someone should tell YOU about spellchecker, since you brought it up. Don't point fingers if you can't do it better.

So predictable.

This discussion reminds of the well-known quip that "Republicans are always claiming government is bad, and when they get elected prove it."
Back and forth this is getting very boring can't wait till some real shit starts to fly....
