Enough With Personal Stuff in the Comments...I Am Tired of Deleting Anonymous Cheap Shots and Vulgarities

Everyday I have to do a little cleaning up of the comment section as interested people and operatives try to get that little dig in at their foe. The things the MSM won't report.
Usually its something about a girlfriend or the fact that Brian McGrath is gay and has a partner whom he may have married in California during the period such weddings were legal there. He has said he is gay and that he knows its the elephant in the room.
I put it in the main body of the blog so all the anonymous people wouldn't have to keep slipping the oblique references in the comment section.
So now all the readers know and if that's a factor in their voting decision, that's their business.
There have also been over the top comments about his opponent, Mr. Blankenbush, usually references to physical attributes. So neither side is without sin.
I think the MSM should do a complete matrix on all the candidates....Not just age, childrens's ages, schools attended, jobs and the last book they read. (What if you say "Going Rogue" ?)
We need to know the number of divorces, child support records, FICO scores, number of DWI's with BAC levels, certainly bankruptcies, church attendance, incidence of adultery, body mass index, and records of treatment for sexually transmitted diseases.
Seriously, isn't a persons credit record an indicator of managing a government entity ? Do you want a guy with a 490 FICO score running the Town of Worth ?

Hey Jeff, does this mean I can't hate that Vaugh guy any more? Even though I don't know him, never met him, and have no idea what is going on with him? I was soooo convinced he was a bad guy. To have to take it all back is, confoooosing. How 'bout hating GWBush? That went on for years and years. Still does.

Free speech Mayor. We have a right to say what we want about public figures

Anonymous said...

Well jeepers Mayor, sure, rude comments aren't neccesary, but people should know the details of those they could possibly vote for. We want people in office who represent our beliefs.

Anon 11:18 - yes you do have that "right," but with it comes responsibility.

Sign your name so we can check the facts, or do you subscribe to the FOX-Breitbart-Limbaugh "news reporting" that covered Shirley Sherrod and railroaded her out of job?

I personally have never seen any untruth or exageration of Mr. Vaugh on this blog. As a political figure people dont like him. I,ve come to the conclusion that the only people accusing anyone of hating Vaugh is Vaugh himself or someone in his family. Hating him because he in incompetant, ineffective as a politican, an agressive wannabe, naive, inexperienced is not the case..

Anonymous said...

I don't know Vaugh but it seems to me he's doing something right to constantly hear from some low life scum dem go on and on about Vaugh doing this and that.

So I guess it's too much to ask what McGrath has done with his life other than the glossed over Reader's Digest version? Me thinks the Mayor is way too defensive.

Anonymous said...

Yes, yes yes, we get all that, Mr. mayor. But of course, the only two issues that matter to us all in NNY, are 'is he pro life, and is he for marriage only between a man and a woman.' Where as wars, climate change, environmental destruction, oil dependency, unjust middle class tax burden, American jobs out sourced by off shore corporations, these and other big problems, are all in the hands of Jesus Christ for 'Christ's sake'.

Heh 1203.. Its not what he does it what he hasnt done.... I guess this is a little like what he did to another local politican last year and again this year then he does nothing about it buy whine.

Can someone translate what Juston just posted or what he is trying to say? I damn sure can't...

BTW: my name is spelled Danny and NOT Dannie -- it always has been ... if you have an issue with that, take it up with my Mother.

FYI: the font here is the same for all posters; we don't bring our own.

I post anonymously all the time, as everyone but Dannie does. I've never had a post removed. This is a topic brought up now and then because some don't like what is said. Are there unfair and personal references made, sure. But most of the crying is done by folks who don't like their sermons questioned.

As far as hating Vaugh. I'm relieved that I am still in position to hate him. I am not a memeber of his family. Don't know the man. Didn't even know he was running for anything. Have no reason to defend him. Would recognize him if I ran into him in person. But all the drivel, I mean factual and substance based criticism about him has convinced me I hate him. It is such a such a relief that it will remain the policy of this board that I may continue to hate anyone I wish. Vaugh, you are scum of the earth. I'm not sure what I'm basing this on, but I'm sure its real. Just like I've learned to hate George W Bush. He is nasty, and the cause of people not having enough Free Stuff.

It is Nick posting anom...
Hows your boss doing these days..

I'll translate for you, Dannie. I believe Poly is saying you post anonymously just like everyone else when it fits your needs. Everyone here does.

The issue really isn't signing one's name, the issue is reminding ourselves not to allow this blog to decend into personal attacks. We've all been guilty.

I'm hearing that the most recent wave of problems centers on the Blankenbush/McGrath race. I'm too focused on hating Vaugh to get involved in this one. Where is that Vaugh guy? I'm gonna protest him being there, whereever there is. He has no right to be there and I want him out.

What a great blog where a small town Mayor can give his full support to a racist motorcycle mechanic and an out of work construction laborer can verbally attack an American military hero and author. Meanwhile, all the trolls throw their sucker punches. Only in the blogosphere.

Anonymous said...

624.. Go elsewhere.

Anonymous said...

Who's the war hero? We got a war hero in the house?

Give me a clue. Does he hate Fox News and Sarah Palin?

Stop it, 6:24. Your drama doesn't make it.

Anonymous said...

Wow, I'm new to the blog and have now found somwhere to spend my time since
I 'll be an unemployed engineer as another manufacturer leaves town.
Without a doubt we need to know a great deal of background on our politicos.Character of an individual isn't just whats published on the cover....remember the wonderful execs at enron, tyco and BofA...great polished front men putting the screws to the rest.

Keep up the entertaining comments

Anonymous said...

LMFAO.

Anonymous said...

Yeah and Tyco or it's derivative is leaving town, for China.

I'll give you 10 to 1 odds the same guy who tells us not to get angry about the political status quo, 'cause he's all set, is behind the post that was removed. Its the same pattern. Say something stupid, draw flack, get mad and stupid, throw threats and profanity, then post same. Hey, its a living, especially if you don't have to work. I'm sure Juston stands ready to translate.

lulz.

Hey 5:19, you got it right. Talk is cheap, but when McGrath can't even tell us how he intends to make these changes he talks about, well...to me he is just another politician making empty promises.

What kind of cases has he made a name for himself? He was an associate in a law firm in NYC for 8 or 9yrs and then what? The dates don't add up and even though he said he then became a Partner in another law firm in NYC it doesn't make sense. Law firms don't hire associates as Partners unless they bring with them a very impressive list of clients. Something ain't right here!! Seems like somebody ain't telling the truth!!
