Furloughs are in the works...pay hikes rescinded....and now Members of Assembly are marching on the Governor's office demanding discussions on a spending plan.....These members have leadership who will do that for them, but they are not satisfied with the course of events.
We need a bit of civil disobedience in the docile caucuses that sit in Albany.

Its funn this appeared todayon the blog.. Ive talked to alot of people today both in Ogdensburg and CAnton and Massena. Very few are blaming Darrell Aubertine or Addie Russell but rather I have hears alot of critical talk aabout Patti Ritchie and her petitions. I dont know what to make of this because she certainly has nothing to do with state budgets but the negativity about her for the last couple of days has risen up here..
Well Folks, I'm not sure what you have to be smoking to blame Pattie Ritchie for all this, but ooo kkkk. We're all free to be idiots.
Just think back a weee bit. Last year we were warned, for the ten millionth time, that Wall Street wasn't pumping money and homes weren't selling and jobs were leaving and taxes were rising and stuff was hitting the fan. WE responded, you know, folks like Addie Jennie and Darrel and Shelly Silver and The Gov and School Superintendents and everybody else, of both parties, by raising the budget by 10%. They found more ways to give out money. Teachers got their usual 5% raises, life went on. 10% was the number boys and girls. You thought it was ok. People told you it was voodoo economics, but you bought it. Now you're screwed and you wanna blame someone besides yourselves. You got furloughs and layoffs and tax increases and scare tactics by schools and woe is me bs by every institution with a finger in a taxpayer orifice. And I'll give you a hint, that's a lot of institutions. But since then we got free health care and free washing machines, so its gonna even out if we just hang on. Next year Shelly says we're all gonna be happy again. Who knows what will be free by next year. You believed everything he spoon fed you. Why should this year be any different? I thinks you all should just shut the hell up and enjoy what you damn well should have known was coming. Free Stuff is what you wanted. Now enjoy.

UTVs are legal now thats the most imprortant thing right wow.So glad that they are spending time on issues that will do nothing to help the state...
Jusaton you should run for office and show us how it's done.
It was an easy decision, Juston. It allows the state to charge people some money for something. You have to ask yourself why they were illegal in the first place. Whatever. Anything that allows for more revenue will be passed.
listen I just believe there is other things we need to worrie about right now.He is doing a good job.I just dont think this utv thing was that important. Mr.Aubertine is a good man and I believe he is doing good things, this im sorry is not one of them important things.I own a three wheeler its not legal to ride the trails with so I bomb around the yard with it...724 I think you are refering to me so ill give you my reponse I have some good ideas for the state and have been sharing them on a reguler.Have been helping in a positive way but no I will stay on the side of the people. He can have his job I dont want it.....Most people that live in the real world can not afford UTVs so take that.....
I see there is an assemblyman Hoyt giving furloughs to his staff. Non essential employees. OK Darrel & Addie how about yours. If you are going to vote with the ggeneral crowd you might as well start at the top. Lets see how long that lasts. Mayor where are you on that?Thought you were there to keep us on our tows. INPUT PLEASE
Why were "non-essential" employees hired to begin with?
The same way administrators and special education teachers were. One political hack at a time.
Specical Ed ... reminds me of the time I overheard two electrical workers in the Federal building in Syracuse walking ahead of me and talking about "special ed."
One said to the other, "Hell, I never got any special education when I was in school."
I rest my case.
We know we can tell you never got educated at all Dan!You have no idea what these people do for handicap children. If the world was perfect you would find something to cry about.Dan thats pretty low even for a loner like yourself.Dont you have a thread to bitch on about how you could have been the president but the money guys beat you to it....
A State Democratic Assemblyman furloughing his staff???? My Lord! Who is next? Addie Russell dropping her staff??? Didn't she just vote YES for something that SHE knew was ILLEGAL?? Isn't she a lawyer??? I'm glad she took care of all of her UNION BROTHERS AND SISTERS who supported her during her last election. She certainly showed her stripes on this one. Just like Aubertine: They went to Albany as one of US and came back as one of THEM...
Good point 6:38 where is she. Where are the rest of them for that point. Don't hear much about who voted yes/no staff etc. Maybe Jude will rin with it. What about Griffo, dede, darrell?
8:49 - Jude must be on a Mental Vacation on this one. Probably one of the biggest issues and these "hard news" reporters are, again, asleep at the wheel...
Dede voted No and she spoke during the debate. Addie was a Yes. Darell was a yes and Griffo was no.
I listened to Dede on the "Hotline" today, and I was very attentive at that. She spoke about the problems in Albany, and some criticisms ,she kept at bay,at most. I felt that she was really sincere in delivering her thoughts into answers and being honest with the public. I have not heard these words from any of our other public officials in Albany; who seem to be in thier own world. The state government needs a major overhaul, from top to bottom. The government seems to attract some of the most unproductive workers, and protect them to no-end. As one talk radio program said,"it's easier to vote them all out, than to sort them out".Enough said.
thank you 6:03 thats all I needed to know. go figure
Hey 6:38 AJR gets her orders from King John O.
