The lame duck Governor with a lot to say now is predicting mass defeats for school budgets tomorrow in protest over the budget dilemma.....I beg to disagree...I don't think voters make that linkage and school votes are attended by a small number, most of whom think they have a stake (and a steak) in passage....Besides, we all know that a NO vote doesn't mean anything as far as spending or taxes.....
It is an interesting idea though....voting no to protest Albany.

Nah, we've been told the contingency budget is no different than the proposed budget. Its all set up. Voters have no control over any of it. Our teachers will get, for them, a disgusting 4% raise. I don't know why they bother to work for the kids anymore. The disrespect they receive at the hands of the taxpayer is disgusting.

I'm voting no on my school budget, even though the contingency budget only cuts program funds. When the people complain, I will ask why admin or capital segments can't be twaeked.
