After publication of the softball photo, friends of Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan feel obliged to run to the media to say she is not gay and that she dated guys and talked about how cute some of them were....This is like so ridiculous.
This happens all the time to folks seeking public office who are not married.....It is hinted they are gay and forced to emphatically deny it as if it were true it would be something horrible. It's going on in races in our area as I write this.
Ms. Kagan is old enough that we need not be concerned with her social life...but some people are....
I'd be glad to take her out to Pete's for chow and over to the Wicked Wench for digestives (after dinner drinks) if it helps her over this bump in the road.

A heluva lot of Americans on the political "right" are sure hung up over sex. They have to get involved in everyone's sex lives, monitor what others are doing in their bedrooms, or someone else's bedroom, but damnit it to hell, stay out of their bedroom, right ultra-conservative GOPers?

The photo was released, and YOU'RE ilk came out an made a big stink about how it shouldn't have been. No one from the right made a big deal of it. You did. But this is what we've come to expect. Ok Dannie. The story going on here was the release of a photo, and the resulting orgasm by people like you who make a sexual and racial issue out of most anything. You were the ones who went nuts over a softball photo. Now you want us to believe you were speaking of something completely different. OK Dan. What you should do is quit trying to make political hay out of things that having nothing to do with sexual or racial discrimination. That's what you are lock step trained to do. And every time you do it I will call you on it. Its time people like you were kept in their place.

Now, while I don't agree with you politically most of the time Mr.Mayor I do agree with this posting. Far too often to both sides of the political spectrum focus on someone's sexuality. It should be a mute point, and not be considered in someones ability to lead.
