The radical Working Families which is about to endorse all the Democrats running for statewide office is now lobbying the Yankees and Mets to boycott next year's All Star Game to be played in Arizona. This childish and petulant action is a further effort to ostracize the people of a state to protest a piece of legislation passed by the AZ Legislature.
Oh yeah,not seeing Jeter play in that game will do a lot to further the cause of immigration reform.
It's time the Democratic Party of NY started boycotting this group of nuts.

The WFP has always been a bunch of nutcases. How could we expect them to do anything but endorse Dems across the board? It's all about one party, which is NY politics. That's why we're in the mess we are in. And it is not going to change. Enjoy.

I figure if baseball is going to be a distraction to our elected officials by requiring Congressional hearings to address issues that exist around an overpriced game of catch, then baseball players and enthusiasts should occasionally have their game interrupted for political reasons.

I signed the petition today.. The GOP is a dying breed. With the loosers they get to run for office we have no other choices. That includes Doheny and his all stars.. Just plain rich and for the rich while times have chaged they the GOP havnt..

AZ is not aniti-imigrant or has established an anti-American law. I think they call it anti-illegal immigrant and it is not Anti-American, it is Anti - Illegal Mexican or whatever nationality is sneaking into the country. These laws exist at the Federal level, problem being the Federal Government is NOT enforcing the current laws. Therefore boarder state are forced to deal with a ILLEGAL migration. They burden the school systems, medical system, do not pay taxes, bring drugs into the country and open boarders pose a risk to national security.
There is a legal method to enter the country, it may need modification, but that is the process. I would not want to live near a boarder and have to worry about my kids when desperate illegal immigrants that are running across the boarder. That infringes on my rights as an American. Our tax dollars go to pay for public schools, medical care, colleges and the rights povided in the constitution. Rights that should be deny to immigrants that enter the country illegally, do not pay taxes, and yes some are a threat to the security of the country.
I do not get the part of the petition that we would not have two of the greatest baseball teams in the world. Is Jeter illegal are any of them?

WFP may have some nuts, but all parties do ... nothing new there.
How about the DEMS in Rye Brook, now allowing 5 AG candidates primary access (therefore they don't have to garnish petitions), yet) yet the same party will not allow Gillibrand to have any DEM competition - go figure.

Most Americans realize that what Arizona did was out of desperation. And what they did is clearly a reinforcement of already existing federal law. It doesn't do what you and other MSM trained seals claim it does, legalize profiling and encourage police to harrass citizens.
