With the only mystery left being who will be the running mate, the Daily News reports Andrew Cuomo will announce his choice prior to the Democratic Convention next week.
Missing from the DN list is Senator Darrel Aubertine who says he did talk to Mr. Cuomo last week.
After the Paterson situation, Mr. Cuomo is expected to select someone with executive experience who could take over. Whether running his dairy farm qualifies Mr. Aubertine is not known. The DN reports the choice will not be strictly political, in other words a person who demographically balances the ticket.
The mayors of Rochester and Buffalo are on the list...A tip of the hat to upstate. Maybe the choice will be political.

If you are pulling this from the channel 7 interview then you are incorrect. He never stated that "he spoke to Cuomo" he says he has spoke to some people, probably his own in an attempt to promote this foolishness.
This is all a trumped up gimmick. It is doubtful Aubertine was on any list long or short.
Isnt it amazing how something added or something left out or changed makes the entire story tainted... But makes sense that Darrell is likely on a list on probable people..
Whoahh....What's written on this blog is not a news story and I am not a journalist. This is opinion and entertainment and should not be viewed as anything more.
As for the Senator talking to Aubertine, I stand by the statement.
What dairy farm?
How about Bill Owens? He'ld probably be a good choice
i don't understand why darrel for lieutenant gov is even remotely plausible. the dems need him right where he is to hold on to their senate majority. how on earth does anyone expect them to hold on to the seat with someone else on the ballot?
I guess the LT. gig is off I just got my invite to "Coyote Moon Vineyard" on June 12th 2010. For an evening of whine to support Darrel's re-election campaign, The cost is $30, individual, $100. individual(friend of Darrel's, aren't we all) $500. Co-sponsor, $1000. Chairman's Circle,(includes private pre-reception with Darrel, and Coyote Moon owner, Phil Randazzo) Wow what a deal. Whose Phil anyway.??????????
If Coyote Moon is promoting DA then I am not drinking any of their swill.
They probably got some FREE GOVT. Money to open up a winery.
Cuomo will shock everyone with his "non-political" pick... wait and see.
Non-political - LOL...
Anon 5:54 Senator Aubetine, knows he better start raising money. The City Democrats are probably not please with him denouncing Espada. They may leave him high and penniless, which is not a good place to be with your number slipping, AFL-CIO campaigning against you, teachers union not happy with your position on charter schools, you favoring BFW, farm bill back on the docket, no budget, furloughs, your voting record with city democrats, and I guess that enough.
