WDT: Money Money Money....But None from the Constituents

I was looking at the Blog Roll on Liz Benjamin's page and see Jude Seymour and Newzjunky join this blog as recommended reading from our region. Kudos to them both for helping spread news of the North Country to a much broader audience. Of course as a grad of the Mizzou School of Journalism, I feel that's gives me an edge over Notre Dame but I am sure there are those who feel otherwise.
On to the great issues...FEC reports are in and John McHugh still has $116,000 sitting around. And our current crop of Congressional candidates have all been fronting their own money to get things going. As usual the locals in NY 23 are a bit stingy and are not used to the requisite giving needed to run multi-million dollar campaigns.
How about every GOP and Democratic state and county committee person write a $100 check today to their Congressional candidate.....And everyone who has a patronage job should write one for $500 or more..in short anybody with excess cash...That means all of DANC, PASNY, Tug Hill, bridge authorities, the Counties in NY23, State Office Bldg. managers, teachers, union bosses, captains of industry, pension double-dippers, lobbyists, media barons, and the list goes on.....Oh, and each of these should have their spouse or partner write a check.
That would at least bring some some semblence of district involvement in the race.
HELPING OUT STATE CALL FROM ME: I have been feeling so bad about the state's cash flow problem that I have decided to help out. I am sending out my quarterly payroll taxes today instead of waiting till April 30 as is customary. I urge all employers do the same to help our state lawmakers and governor through tough times.

I am sure the State of New York will not even give you a hearty handshake for meeting your obligations ahead of time.

As we can no longer afford ourselves I wonder:

If New York State begins to issue Scrip, will there be "Watertown Dollars" as in there are Ithaca Dollars in Ithaca?

Now's the time to laugh at Dan Francis, right?

All "politics is local" (sadly, the money isn't) ... So who is representing whom?

I get the last laugh. The tears cost extra.

You are not serious in suggesting Missouri is a better education than Notre Dame ?

Of course all the monies will still flow to the Various NOW projects.

Dannie, relax. Enjoy the weekend. No one was even thinking of you.

Jeff, that burning barrel joke is great. Thanks.

danny---Answer the questions, please: What offices have you run for, how much did you raise in contributions for each, how many votes did you receive for each office, and what were the winners' margins of victory for each office? It all goes to your credibility as a critic. Please, your answers.

At least he's not claiming to represent the Marine Corps any more.

Thankfully. We don't claim him. Semper Fi!

Anon 4:02 - do the research yourself.

Anon 3:56 - I would never ask you to think of me, Anonymous - that would be a huge insult to both of us.

Anon 4:58 - I never claimed to represent the Marine Corps - never. I represent myself, but yes, I am a 20-year retired active duty combat Marine ... never claimed otherwise.

Anon 6:17 - You don't have to claim me unless it's on your 1040 form, but then that would be fraud.

Dan, I have never met you, but I sure hope you don't have a wife or kids or any other people living with you. You are so negative all the time it would be horrible to live under the same roof as you. I long for the day when you have something positive to say about anyone or anything (except yourself, that is).

dan-----you are ignoring the questions. ANSWER THEM or go away.

Anonymous 7:30 - ding wrong. I am probably the most postive person around, if you'd listen to what I say and the purpose for which I am saying.

Sure I fluff myself from time to time (don't you, too), and I defend myself, too (don't you, too).

I also pay compliments when they are earned and due, but these days in politics, they are far and few between - don't you agree with that?

78:57: if you are so interested in my past, just to the reseach... there is plenty out there.

Tsk Tsk Tsk.....danny doesn't want to tell us he's a loser. Guess he is embarrassed. Apparently he got no votes. None. Zip. Zero. No votes. No credibility. Danny...........shhhhhh!
