OMG- Blankenbush to Announce at Keddys....Across the Street from the Wench !

Bad Karma on Day One as Ken Blankenbush chose a bar across the street from Indy Vice Chair Tammy Bramhall to announce his Assembly bid....And in a further in your face, he chose the Village of West Carthage, where his possible opponent Scott Burto is mayor.
Burto may run as a Democrat and almost changed his GOP registration to Dem last fall but was talked out of it, according to a high place Republican.
Lowville is the closest thing to a geopolitical center for the 122nd....but maybe the food is better at Keddy's.
Republicans are confident Chairman Blankenbush will not face a primary or a serious Democratic foe in November. At this point he is the only announced candidate for the 122nd. State Republicans are said to have insisted the candidate pledge the first $30K to be spent on a campaign.....About 40% of what the first year salary would be.

I just wish that Ken BBush would take a long serious look at himself in the mirror, and say " Have I really, really, been honest in my dealings, representing all of the people of Jefferson Co.;and do I really believe that I will represent the people of the 122nd,with honesty and integrity,so help me god". Think about it Ken.

I agree with the Rickster, as I tend to do so often.

There is another side of that question of yours. How many thug politicians could ask themselves the same question you pose to Mr B? On all levels.

In all fairness, Ken is hardly a thug...

6:21, we have to start somewhere, I figured the local/state level would be a good spring board, not to bash people (which I am guilty of), but get politicians to start thinking about the people they represent, the real issues that affect thier lives, and that the world would be a better place,if we just thought about how would mom and pop, grandma and grandpa, think about how we have displayed ourselves and given into the greed (whether it be money or other things. If a person doesn't have heart for the people he/she would potentially represent, they shouldn't do it.Anyway, thanks 6:21.

If Ken is going to treat this like he did the county level I feel sorry for the peple he would represent

Anybody that would support BlankenBush in this run is either a personal friend or part of the old broken republican machine in the north county. There are way too many problems with this candidate. He does not even have a platform or a notable issue. He does not present himself as a particularly inteligent person and has accomplished nothing of significance. I doubt he could pass a civil service exam or a health physical. Are there no young, bright, open minded citizens for this role?

If there even exists such a thing, any young, bright and open-minded Republican would be labeled RINO and stopped in their tracks by the conservatives who have hijacked that party. That's why the Republican party will soon age and die out without any young blood caring to continue the brand.

1:07, 2:23- his name is Brian Mcgrath but word on the street is he probably won't run. Gee, wonder why? The Mayor will bad mouth him because he is a lawyer not a bar owner or someone he know. Others will say he has no experience in politics. For me, that is a real good thing right now. We shall see what happens.

Rather than watch to see if Burto shows at the Dem supper tomorrow, let's see if Mcgrath is there. If he shows, that would be a real sign that the dems are going to challenge for thus seat.

2:23 There are many young bright minds in the Republican Party. They are working hard, gaining experience and insight into the current situation. Many are serving in other ways and raising families.
