Love Your Comments....But There are Limits

We are into the silly season, where personal invective overcomes common sense and decency and it is not my intention to promote egregious, unproven and anonymous personal attacks.
If you want to call someone a drunk...a drug dealer...a wife beater....gay...a philanderer....a thief..make fun of their name, religion or ethnicity..or the like. here is what you need to do
PUT YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS ON THE POST in which you make the assertion, and offer some documentation.
I think it best to start curbing it early in the season.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Jeff I agree with you 100%. It hardly takes much of a person to make outrageous accusations trouncing behind an anonymous post. If you have some derogatory unsubstantiated remark, make sure you have the courage to stand behind yourself.

If anyone would like my Information just let me know.

Its always the same people who get their comments removed. Otherwise, no one but Dannie posts with his real name. So I thinks this is much ado about nothing. Others get offended with they are called on their misrepresentations. I don't think the issue is signing one's. Some folks just want to be able to whitewash the truth. Kinda like the MSM does. I also think it has something to do with the folks who hate this Blankenbush guy. So either way, let's all sing cumbybaloney and see who starts using their name. And lets also see who quits lying. You know, simple stuff, like "there is no evidence people are leaving NY" and The Great One has cut taxes to their lowest levels in 60 years. It really is about issues.

Ken Blankenbush has conducted his fair share of county deals behind the cover of closed doors, including secret meetings with Big Wind, Don Alexander and the two votes he need to flip on the legislature...all to cram down tax breaks for billionaires on a project opposed by 75% of the county. The same project that was recently granted a permit to kill Bald Eagles. Good going Ken. So if he can do all of that behind closed doors - what is the big deal if the 75% of the county he screwed wants to post anonymously about him. He has it coming in spades. BlankenBaldEagleKiller

I didn't know he murdered Bald Eagles.

Look. I don't know that much about the man. I just don't think he is the answer for what we need. We need new blood. Some youth. Don't we have anybody in their 30's or 40's who doesn't have their foot in government or their dad to thank for their school job? Did we chase ALL those independent minded young people away? I'd like to see that Randy Richardson guy or Mr Renzi have another go at it.

If you want to be a public figure in the internet age, you are going to have to put up with anonymous bloggers. The bulk of anonymous blogs are a little bit like stereotypes - they would not exist if they were not partly true. Man up.
