Ford Muscled Out of Senate Race

Ohhhh....That was a close call...The Democrats almost had a real blue dog running for US Senate....But Harold Ford Junior has been driven from the temple of liberalism that is New York's Democratic Party.
Now Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has a clear path to the nomination and given the GOP paucity of candidates a near lock on the election.
At the time of her appointment, Ms. Gillibrand seemed a blue dog upstater, but has veered far from her moderate roots in order to curry favor on the upper West Side.
Ford must have been dealt some serious pressure or given a promise of a cabinet post in DC.....This is a guy who likes the action too much to roll over.
As for the Democrats, the post-racial era has meant the kicking to the curb of the state's first black governor and now Harold Ford.....You go , Reverand Al !

One has to wonder just how bright this guy is to run in NY. Maybe he thought Jilly was easy pickings? And, his politics lean way more right than left. If he was going to make the run against her he should have run as a Repub, or pulled an Lieberman and run as an Indie. Yes, Harold, NY is way too blue for you. Something you should have known - or your handlers should have known - before tipping your toe in the water. Google is your friend.

Not even in NY can a Brother catch a break! Too bad and so sad, Harold Ford fits right in with the racist NY Combine. He's just another faux 'blue dog' Chameleon, that once ensconced will vote straight line with Comrade Pewlousy! Isn't that the NY way?

A "near lock" for the incumbent who never ran for the seat in the first place. -- Well, maybe and then public? Left out in the cold again ... they will never see or hear her answer tough questions on tough issues or lingering critical questions about government, the lousy Senate and our future ...

Democracy at work, right?

I would venture a guess that the meeting with the "REV" ,which didn't go well, caused his doom to run for the Senate, because he wouldn't have the backing of the "REV"s" vote.
