WDT:| Patty Plate tops $1.5m in car fees

Can we afford to send Patty Ritchie to Albany, since she is doing so well at her current job ? Sounds like a silly question but sometimes people like what you are going so much they are not interested in letting you pursue the dark, craven ambitions for higher office that in the end suck the life and principles out of otherwise great people.
P.S. Does anyone in NYC DMV realize how inept this process makes them look ?

This DMV thing has been going on for about three years. Downstate dealers have to wait outrageous periods of time to ge t processed so they call St. Law County and get instant service. Countygets the fees.. She has added staff but it is paying for itself plus.. Good move.. However the down side is will eventually end. And the County legislators will not come to grips with that and let anyone go on the workforce.. She is very good at her job.. She cares about employees and public. Whe is an everyday person with no airs. I know her somewhat and feel I wont vote for her for Senate however in a heartbeat I would vote for her for 118th. Because she is very good at her job should not be a deterrant to her seeking public office. Someone in DMV downstate needs to be relieved of their job for this type of incompentency. Loosing that many fees to another county should not be tolerated

Ride on bro... Rithcie for 118th.. This race is already filled with phoney politicians and wannabes. A good ole boy or girl would not hurt us in Albany. Think about what else is proposed.. A 22 year old kid with no job to be good at and no experience with real life issues. A mayor of a dying city... A legislator who voted for a contract then reversed his vote thus screaming I dont know what i,m doing. Another ex legislator using his influence to gain public employement.. Give me a breath of fresh air.. Ritchie Ritchie Ritchie no mor phonies no more phonies. If you judge her by her job performance she deserves the chance if she wants it...

Ritchie will not be a breath of fresh air as you call her. She has already aligned herself with the same people in Albany who are responsible for running this state into the ground. She will juse be another GOP hack if she's elected.

Patty is another Dede! We can't have it happen again!

Suonds like someone didn't get a raise. If you don't like it go out into the real world and try to make it with your job skills. Sounds like legislator put the people who voted for them first. Thank YOU. About time someone stands up for the taxpayers.
Nichols has been a lifelong republican and put the taxpayers first and will do a great job for leading the republicans election efforts.
Go Patty Go. You got our votes.

Whats wrong with DeDe pt Patti.. DEDE stood up for herself and spoke her mind whewn her party abandoned her. She backed who she felt was the best canidate when her party left her high in the water.. This is Nick Vaugh talking no doubt. Are you the child labeling everyone pathetic.
Ritchie is honest sincere in whatever she does. After years of doing nothing have you noticed Nelson trying to emulate her recently. And yu want to observe voting records look at the record of Vaugh. His votes corresponded to Nelsons continualsly for three years and will continue. Nick Vaugh has been nothing short of a fraud who has been running around downing everyone except himself.

Patty's ability to not cut up a pie, but to make another by bringing downstate dollars to upstate is just the type of thinking we need. It's out of the box and something lacking these days.

By doing this she has stabelizzed her own fee schedule.. Means that someone from out of this County is helping pay my taxes which I appreciate.. Now on to a sales tax increase in SLC and we can get some more outside help. Every other County arund us has it.

Patty should take a look around at what happens to people who get "too big for their britches" anda spend more time running for something else than doing the job they were elected (and paid) to do. Tom Suozzi, the ex Nassau Co. Democratic County Exec wanted to be Governor, senator, Lt. governor and any number of other things. The voters booted him out in November, now he can run for whatever he likes. If Patty does run - she should resign as County Clerk and not be running a full time campaign on the taxpayers dime. That's real fiscal responsiblity. If you see her, tell her to resign and then run.

I agree, Nelson Vaugh and the rest should all resign. Vaugh already misses meetings randomly for the sake of his agenda.. How can they do their elected job and run for office..

How could Obama run for president and be a senator?

Anonymous said...

I agree its wrong.. Lets keep the talk up and ask them all to resign from any elected job they have now in order to campaign

Ms Ritchie has been very effective in her job which is more than Nelson or Vaugh can demonstrate . She has ADVANCED her office and made money for the taxpayers which is more than the 2 Amigos from Ogdensburg

PAtty for state senate! Having one party rule by NYC democrats is bad fo the north country.

I like Patty too. She arranged to have those unneeded license plates inserted in the Dems lower unit. I'm going to be watching to see if she can do the same thing with a snowmobile. It may not be physically possible buy it sure would be nice seeing Shelly walk funny. At least he would have to purchase two seats when he was taking illegal flights to Las Vegas.

St. Lawrence county and the residents do appreciate the initiative, and insight Mrs. Ritchie has used to relieve the tax burden to the county and the people that elected her.
She did not create these fees and has fought against additional fees for the North Country. These fees would have stay in NYC or gone back to the state if Mrs. Ritchie’s had not been thinking outside the box.

We need someone covering our backs, and our voice needs to be heard in Albany, Assembly or Senate? Look around we are in a dog fight with representatives from NYC and the Governor. When the Democrats took the Senate we lost our voice or what voice we had. WE DO NOT EXIST TO THEM.

The fact of the matter is neither Patty nor anyone else will be effective in ALBANY UNTIL the 3 guys in a room syndrome is CRUSHED

There are MORE voters and More TAX revenue generated in a 10 square block area in NYC than in ALL of NNY

Tax revenues from NYC pays the freight for our prisons, schools , Sunys and other state and quasi- state agencies here-- that's a FACT

NNY gets way more back in state tax dollars than it generates -- that too is a fact
