Hiram Montserrate says he will not go quietly...Meaning he could seek help from the courts to keep his Senate seat after lawmakers voted last night to expel him.
As poor an example of public servant as he may be, it could well be the voters decision on his fate....Otherwise anyone the other Senators don't like can get the boot.
If he is out the Dems can control the special election as such affairs are decided by the bosses without a primary.

The vote was well advised . We need to make sure OUR representatives feet are held to the fire as far as ethical behavior is concerned . I am disgusted by the sleazy behavior of member of BOTH parties that has been on display in recent times.
We need to hold them responsible and to encourage qualified and honorable men and women to run for office to be true public servants in TERM LIMITED roles not life time career positions

Our entire system is so corrupt we cannot recover. And the main reason is political loyalty has taken the place of ethics. You people don't really care about a legal system that allowed this to go on without a felony conviction. And you've carefully thought through the ramifications of a Dem in NYC losing his seat and what it means to replace him yadayada. Why, because this is what you give a crap about. This is what you live for. This is pretty much what we all live for. We don't care if someone sliced up a woman, we care if they are Donkeys or Elephants. So quit the bs about ethics and whether you should hold someone responsible for their actions.
And Spitzer is a turd blossom. That's not to say I wouldn't vote for him should he be the nominee vs. a Party of No candidate. But, he still a turd blossom.
