While we continue to hope tax exemptions can save us from ourselves, the evidence mounts that taxes in the Empire State are headed even higher....In fact last year's Millionaires Tax is not producing what the tax the rich crowd had promised and the state's current deficit is rising.....Scary times ahead.

so let us give hundreds of millions of dollars to Big Wind. Of course the federal money will have to be repaid, but not by the Sackets Harbor new nillionaires. The rest of us can suck it up silently.
By the way, Jeff, I was absolutely sincere yesterday when I thanked you on Washington St for fighting the terms of the PILOT.
It's actually more cost effective to do business in Canada now than in NYS. The taxes are lower and even thoguh the quality of health care is not great, business does not pay for it directly... also fewer worker comp claims from union, overweight and or lazy people. Standby for the next big sucking sound - this time on the NY - Canadian border ... and you don't have to learn Spanish to make the move.
But 2:45, this is what we wanted. Wind power is the new beautiful thing. It's what our great new leader from Shytown promised us. The dumb ass American people bought this during the last election cycle. Now it's time to enjoy the fruits of our stupidity. Enjoy.
