Paterson: I Was Right On KSM Trial

Finally some common sense among New York politicians who bob their heads at crazy White House ideas like trying the 9/11 masterminds in Manhattan.....Mayor Bloomberg now says its too expensive...so do others...leaving Governor Paterson to chirp, "I told you so."

It has nothing to do with Elephants and Donkeys, Dan. Bringing these murdering idiots to NYC and granting terrorists the rights of citizens was a foolish move. Already, there is mass movement by leaders of both partiess to distance themselves from such policy. It will get worse as things progress. Try not to think of everything as a party line issue.

Where else but the scene of the crime would you have the trial? The first WTC bombing trial was in NYC and not a peep of dissent. To have a trial at some undisclosed or military location would send the message that we are running scared, and letting the terrorists dictate to us how we run our criminal justice system. Folks, this is America. We don't let the criminals, foreign or domestic, set the agenda. Let us have a fair and open trial. Isn't that a cornerstone of our democracy? To do otherwise because of cost, fear, or inconvenience would make us look like a nation of hypocites.

Well 940 certainly doesn't live in PTSDville (Manhattan). Let's have the trial in Jersey and save half a billion. The bravado prez is out of office now. Let's appoint DMF as a court reporter just this once.

It wasn't a crime, it was an act of war. What are you, 9:40, a lawyer or a Donkey. You must be one or the other. Or heaven forbid, both.
