Northern New York Community Foundation Approves $250,000 in Year-End Grants

Good deeds continue to be the order of the day at the Northern New York Community Foundation....A quarter million dollars will help several projects as incoming director Rande Richardson helps keep up the tradition of this venerable institution. And Rande reads this blog !

I like Randy Richardson he is nice guy and his sister is a friend of mine.At one time I thought he should run for mayor.Thats when I was trying to overthrow you..Just kidding..

Why did Sherman School receive funding for a playground?

$11,000 out of a budget the size of WCSD is less that peanuts.

PLUS of all the Watertown neighborhoods served directly by schools, I would think Sherman should be able to come up w/that kind of $ w/o NNYCF support.

I thought the district should pay for the sidewalk on Washington St., But there's no money left, spent it all on the field.
