DeDe Scozzafava says she would have been able to agree with seven of ten criteria the GOP is considering to use when deciding whether to support candidates for Congress.
Meanwhile rival Dick Armey said Scozzafava was going to lose anyway and he says Scozzafava burned a bridge that can't be rebuilt when she dropped out of the NY23 race and endorsed Democrat Bill Owens.
Armey and Scozzafava appeared this morning on CBS' Face the Nation.
The topic was whether moderates can survive and prosper in the GOP in 2010, now that the party has lost all its New England seats and all but two in NY.
Scozzafava insisted she is a fiscal conservative citing an analysis she says was done by the Syracuse Post Standard. Armey says Scozzafava was a candidate out of touch with her district.

Saw the clip - she was sour and bitter and Armey was worse... a real jerk and a pain in the ass as was the old RNC Chairman, Ed Gillespie.
Harry Smith was easy on all three of them.
hope she enjoys her time in the spotlight,,,,
she's at about 14 minutes or so
Not to beat a dead horse four weeks after the election, BUT, I have to say Dick Armey is nothing but an opportunistic liar. Dede was never behind Owens in the polls before Hoffman entered the fray, and in fact was ahead of all three as late as October. That just shows you the character of these tea partiers like Hoffman and Armey. They will just flat out lie to get what they want, and the ignorant public falls for it. I know politics is a tough game, but I have never seen the level of outright, blatant lies as I have with this new crowd of Republicans. In the end, they will do the GOP no good.
Jeff you need to concentrate on city issues more and your bloated head and blogging less. It is easy to be perfect when you do not do anything other than critique other elected officials.
Dick Armey: scores "10 out of 10" on the "Delta Bravo" test...on the take from PRO Health Care Issues Lobby for about 500 million...he was for it before it was against it...NICE...and...what about showing up at the WDT editorial board to answer questions on behalf of Hoffman, who was not man enough to handle such a task himself...AWESOME!
Ooops, Delta Bravo Armey was on the take for about 500k, not mil from the pro Health Care Lobby...He was for it before he was against it.
