News 10 Now; Whiz Quiz Turns Thirty

Talk about things that make you feel old....Public Television's Whiz Quiz is 30 years old. The high school competition has been promoting academic excellence for three decades.... I remember working at Public TV when Glenn Gough debuted the show. They have a celebrity quiz show coming up with local media luminaries, which I guess I am no longer. Good luck to the News 10 Now Team.

Here's a Whiz Quiz question:

True or false, the word "teabagger" has been entered into the New Oxford American Dictionary as a term to describe to members of the Tea Party and was a finalist for Oxford's "word of the year".

The answer is true.

i personally think people should steer clear of "teabagger." there's nothing wrong in principle with using less than flattering terms to address your opponents, but i think this one is too disrespectful and contains too much underlying vulgarity.
