Any Candidate Worthy of the Job Would Be Talking to This Guy First

Here is advice to our new Member of Congress from longtime Congressional aide Cary Brick who now lives in Clayton.
Cary and I have spoken frequently of late about the race as he is an avid reader of this blog. His counsel has no doubt played an important role in the race and he has much to offer a new Representitive from our region.
I will have my thoughts on the Congressional race shortly.

The 11 county GOP chairs must go, especially the women Nancy Martin, Janet Duprey, and Sandy Corey! Also Jim Ellis, who orchastrated this disaster. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Jefferson's Leaning Left predicts:

Owens.....................45%
Hoffman..................32%
Scozzafava.............23%

That is after the Mayor's endorsement. Before that, I had Hoffman at 34%.

A man allows dissent.

Mayor Graham is not a man. He deletes anything he doesn't agree with. And, to save himself the trouble, when he writes truly obnoxious stuff, he simply prevents you from commenting.

Following in Obama's footsteps, I'm officially declaring war on Mayor Blogger.

Follow the progression of our Mayor's (sic) View.

The same guy that a few short weeks ago praised the spending of taxpayer money on a deck attached to a private business in my city now tells us that spend and tax and spend some more is "a wrong course for our country".

FF. this could be Hizoner's big break. Perhaps a visit from Malkin, or Beck. How abut Rush or O'Reilly. Imagine Hizoner on national TV with some other crazy person claiming that his endorsement made Doug "the man". Won't we all be proud of our new political reputation.

I read Cary Brick's article in Sunday's Times. Just re-enforces my theory that we could save a ton of money from the top down if we would just do away with all of the "extras" that go along with being elected. The perks are what entices anyone to run for office - not the job itself. That will never happen because then our elected officials would actually have to show up for work and do their job like the rest of us who are paying them.
