She isn't suspending her campaign. She is only canceling her public apperances so she could be there with her dad. I have sick time and would also take it to be with my Dad.

During the time my mom and dad were dying, I still had to show up for work every day or lose my pay.
Why suspend a campaign when you are crushing the opposition?
