Obama's Place of Birth: Kenya to Some, A Manger to Others

I can't believe CNN is letting Lou Dobbs get away with all this obsession with whether President Obama was born in Kenya and not Hawaii, thus meaning he was not eligible to run for President.
Wasn't this something that should have been raised last year......Before the man was elected with 53% of the popular vote. There isn't any court in the land who is going to order the man out of office even if it is true.
One piece of evidence is that Mr. Obama allegedly said he was from Kenya when applying for student aid while at Harvard. No race intended, but that is at best a "white lie," not a mortal sin......If true the guy was working the system, but like that doesn't happen when applying for free money.
Today I listened to a guy tell me he had figured a way around the cash for clunkers rules so he could get his free $4500.....People do that stuff because it is generally thought that screwing the government is not sex.
Well, back to Barack Obama. Skip the birth issue. He was born. Lived in the USA, worked here and got elected to various offices.
If the McCain campaign was afraid to raise the issue or if the press refused to do anything that would derail their candidate, shame on them.
Mr. Dobbs and others should let this one drop and concentrate on the policy issues that could result in a one term presidency.
You can bet Hillary is keeping score and will be ready to roll in 2012. She won't be hoping for a Kenyan tie to do the job.

Are you for real? This nonsense was 100% disproved last year! Where were you Mayor? Do you read? The original birth certificate WAS made public. Public records from newspapers in Hawaii announced his birth. By your not outright acknowledging those FACTS, you allow this nonsense to continue. Shame on you Mayor. He is the President of the United States, he was born in Hawaii, he is our legitimate President, elected by a mandate, get over it!

What a totally ignorant post to even suggest that Obama is not born in the US. He was. There is zero story here. You demonstrate ignorance and bias of the grossest kind by writing that crap you write to try and put yourself "above the story" while still leaving open that this fictional story might be true.

I'll never read this ignorant blog again. Well, that is probably a good thing, so I guess I should thank you.

this is a textbook example of how folklore trumps facts, and when someone at your level of public service aims your bellows at these flames, gullibles have the idea that you must be on track. If any attorneys drop in at the Breen Av Command Center, maybe one of them could explain that John McCain was legally the only one with standing to challenge Obama's birth records, and McC was on even shakier ground that BHO. Enough of this nonsense.

Delusion Republicans go way back at least 6000 years.

Oh my goodness, you are so stupid. Do me a favor and read the papers and get the facts before spreading these lies further. When are you up for re-election? I'd vote for my dog before I'd vote for you.

By the way, can you build me a deck on my house? You ass.

I read that Jeff Graham was born on on the planet Ignoramus, but whether that is true or not should not matter as to whether he can remain mayor.

See Mayor how easy it is to keep nonsense alive? You need to spend a little less time blogging and a little more time reading, or, here is a novel idea, doing your job which includes thinking about projects that we taxpayers should NOT be paying for - like building decks for bar owners. Can you please be more like your love interest Sarah "I can see Alaska from my house" Palin and step down as mayor, you, know, to end the politics as usual of dead fish swimming with the current or basketball players passing the ball or whatever nonsense she says?

I cannot believe the voters of Watertown let you get away with being so dumb.

"Down with the birthers," up with "the Deathers." [phase two of the whacked out GOP-Rightwingnuts assault on anything about Mr. Obama] his "healthcare will kill you."

We are not anywhere near the edge - we're already on our way down to the bottomless [GOP anger at the black guy in office] pit.

the previous commenters have given you enough of a lashing about this birther nonsense, so let me take issue with something else:

You can bet Hillary is keeping score and will be ready to roll in 2012.

actually, i don't think there's anything wrong with that comment per se, but it's of a piece with a number of other recent quips about her which reveal that, just like with the birther stuff, you don't know what you're talking about.

you seem to complain a lot about the stimulus and about obama's health care proposals on the grounds that they're too ambitious, or cost too much, or make for too much government involvement, or something like that. and you also pretty clearly seem to think hilary would have been a better choice for president than obama.

yet on almost every single major domestic policy issue that came up during the primary campaign, hilary ran to the left of obama! her health care proposals were more liberal (and, in my opinion, better)!

so what gives? is this another instance of thoughtless, gut-level identity politics, akin to your attraction to sarah palin?

HT, most right side politics in the NC is gut-level, if not thoughtless...like now you'll have to get off the taxpayer-funded walkway once you reach 456 Newell, go around the front of the building, and reenter the walkway on the west side of the parking lot. It's a lease job now. Good luck if you're in a wheelchair or use a walker or prosthesis (like THAT word, Mr Mayor?)

Lot of sarcasm....whats your point ? If it's the lack of disabled access, you are 100% right. This was a project designed by state recommended engineers and approved by NYS. I have already apologised for my not catching the deficiencies I failed to identify.
I suspect I will be the only one offering regrets.

My point is that you get the government you INspect, not the gov't you EXpect
