122 Ten Eyck Street....Any Interest ?

There is another vacant piece of city owned property that may be of interest. It's at 122 TenEyck Street in a very nice neighborhood.
The city acquired the apartment building on the lot years ago and demolished the unsightly building. The lot was used for equipment storage during the now completed street reconstruction.
It is large enough to build a house, but just barely. If you want to build where services and utilities are readily available, this might be of interest.
The Council is interested in selling for the purpose of building a house, not just a vacant lot. So no matter how it is sold, that may be a condition of sale.
Your feedback is important.

Make it a small park, or sell it to Kevin Fear.

I would suggest you contact the adjacent property owners and let them know you are going to put the property out to auction. This would give the adjacent property owners a heads up, but still give the general public the opportunity to bid on it. If the purchaser decides to build a home there and you decide to "regulate" what kind of home goes on the property, it should fit in with the architectural style of the other properties on the street. Maybe not a bad idea, as it will garner a higher assessed value in this particular neighborhood.

A few years ago NOW wanted it, to build a house, but the lot was so small they decided there wasn't enough space to "park" the pallets of taxpayers dollars required to build one.

On a brighter note work has stopped on the YWCA building, NOW should come to their senses and scale back the project, so space downtown isn't .25 a square ft. Think about it Bart B. where are you.

Read the WDT article on this today, looks like NOW is using the "trendy words" to try and sell their ideas to the council, "infill" Bradley's got the right idea with an auction, NOW has been given to many properties that should have been auctioned off, to build the empire.
